Learning FORWARDA Community Resource Guide
Hudson Department of Youth
The Hudson Department of Youth provides year round after-school and summer activities for children ages 5 – 18. We also host a program for seniors.
In the winter, you can find us at our facilities on N. 3rd Street. We have a game room with pool tables, ping pong, foosball, among others and a kitchen where we often host cooking classes for the children. Our 2nd floor is an open gymnasium, where we have basketball, karate, circus skills and much more.
During the summer we move our headquarters to Oakdale, where we provide tennis and swimming lessons, basketball, a skate park, and more.
We are proud to have Hudson’s AmeriCorp serving here.
Our programs are free and open to all in our community, please join us!
We are open Monday – Friday from 3 – 6pm for children age 7 – 13. Open 7 – 9pm for 14 – 18 year olds Monday – Thursday.
Volunteer coaches are needed for flag football and to help out at the annual fishing derby. We also have a Hudson Soccer League in the fall, and need volunteer coaches.
